Pedigree of Hayco, below

Here is a little bit about Hayco's Background and why his pedigree is so Special...

Hayco B. comes from line 38 which is one of the top in the Netherlands and is known for producing performance horses.

Lets start with his motherline (line 38)

Mother: Ulrika-T. - Ster sired by Nean

Grandmother: Leaukje - T. - Ster sired by Jochem

Great-grandmother: Wiestke B. - Ster+Preferent sired by Fokke

Great,Great-grandmother: Wijkje - Model+Preferent+Performance Mare sired by Nanne

Great,Great,Great-grandmother: Wietsche - Ster+Preferent sired by Hylke

So his motherline is S, S, S+P, M+P+PM, S+P  (note his grandmother is one away from being Preferent)

His Great,Great Great-grandmother Wietche gave birth to 11 foals, 7 of them being mares.  5 mares became Ster and 2 became Model.  In 1972 and 1973 she won the breeding days by having the best breeding group those years.  So as you can see a unbelievable producer.

One of those daughters was Wijkje his Great Great-grandmother.  This mare was unbelievable as well and is considered by many to be one of the Greatest Friesian Mares of all time!!!  She earned the Title Model (which only about 10 mare a year receive this title, so very difficult) also was given the title Performance Mare (which only a hand full will ever receive this title).  She also earned the title Preferent by producing 2 Model Mares, 1 Model+Preferent Mare, 2 Ster+Preferent Mares, 4 Ster mares and two Great FPS Stallions in Tsjerk and Djurre (Both highly used and respected).  YOU WILL SEE NO OTHER MARE LIKE THIS ONE!!!  Her son Tsjerk is one of the most popular stallion to breed to Today.  He already has 2 FPS Approved Sons and he sends more of his offspring to the central examination than any other approved stallion in the world.  The reason being is the line produce nothing but top of the line sporthorses with extreme movements.  Like her mother she also won in 1974,1975,1977 and 1988 the breeding days by having the best breeding group those years.

Then it is his Great Grandmother Wiestke B.  She also produced many quality horse and received the Title Preferent.  It is not easy to receive this title.  4 or more of your offspring must become Ster or Model in order to get this title, so very difficult.  But it proves that this line just continues to produce.

The next in line is his Grandmother Leaukje - T.  She has 3 offspring that have already made Ster, so she is just one away from becoming Preferent.  She is still alive and producing foals with a couple on the ground that have not yet been shown for a title.  If I had to bet I believe she will become Preferent.  Her sire is Jochem, remember that name and I will come back to it.

Then we come to his mother Ulrika-T.  She is still young and I believe used strictly as a broodmare.  The foals I have seen out of her including Hayco are very nice.  All very much performance horses with great movements.  He her sire is Nean, also remember that name.

Motherlines (stam lines) as I have said are very important in the Friesian world and Line 38 is in the Top 5 of Motherlines and now you can see why.

    To the Stallions:

Good mares out of Stallions Like Nean, Jochem and Nykle are known to be great producers.  These are great stallions to have a mare out of for a breeding program.  Hayco's Mother is by Nean and his Grandmother is by Jochem, some fabulous stallions to have in a Pedigree.  Then we get to his sire THE GREAT TEUNIS.  I can not say enough good thinks about Teunis.  He passed away way to early.  He has two approved sons in Nanning and Monte that are still breeding today.  His full brother Bonne, which was in the States, passed away earlier this year.  Teunis was a favorite among many people with his great size and beautiful confirmation.  There are not many Teunis babies left and it would be hard to find a full papered colt.  I believe in the next few years there will be another Teunis offspring approved to keep his line going.  I have another Teunis of my own I will be showing next year.  You can see him on my stallion page, his name is Joop.

As you can see not only is Hayco a absolutely stunning boy but also has a superb pedigree to go with it!!!!

If Hayco does not sell, Signature Friesians will run him for Stallion Approval in 2005
